At the time of its construction the Revengers were encountering Skynet's AT fields and they were proving to be quite a challenge to deal with. Gates created the adamantium bus as the Revengers first answer to the AT field. Their second answer would come later in the form of the R-Shield. The bus is constructed entirely with refined adamantium and has been proven to be impervious to even Skynet's advanced weapons. The bus was designed by Gates but it was its driver Aaron which suggested to give the bus a GRTA Xpress livery. The livery does help the bus blend in quite well within its home state of Georgia, though in other states it may be an oddity to see but certainly nothing that would draw suspicion from the public. The bus has a very powerful engine which can propel it to very fast speeds for a vehicle of that size. Special jets had to be installed on the sides of the bus so when it turns the thrust prevents the bus from toppling over. This makes the massive vehicle able to pull off drifts and act as a moving wall of destruction for anything in its path. The refined adamantium lacks nano-skin much like the Revengers semi. Gates didnt bother installing that feature because the bus would need to always be hard for its purpose. The bus has several built in weapons including 4 plasma cannons, 2 laser gatlings, 2 grappling hooks on both ends of the bus, and a laser turret hidden in the rear section of the roof. When deployed the roof transforms to facilitate the construction of the turret. Most of the time these weapons are not used as the bus has proven more useful as an AT field smashing ram than anything else. The bus has vehicular AI but unlike any of the other vehicles the Revengers use. The AI is not sentient, it is more simple in terms of how it was designed as the bus was more of a weapon and mobile base than a companion. At the time the bus was created it was shortly after a large scale Skynet encounter in California. Gates didnt know when Skynet would strike again and wanted to have the bus completed as fast as possible, thus they didnt have time to make sentient AI for it. However, this can easily be done at a later date. The bus has the ability to drive itself and acts as a secondary mobile base whenever the Revengers semi is deployed elsewhere.
