This was developed after realizing the high amount of resistance zentanium has to practically anything that is thrown at it. Only Project Gainz has been able to do any kind of damage towards the element. Learning this, Skynet immediately started development on a shield that a mech can utilize. The shield was created and shipped off to the Toronto headquarters where it would be utilized by their GM-Z Grand Mech Prototype which was also currently under construction. The GM-Z Grand Mech Prototype would utilize the Prototype Zentanium Shield against the Revengers and it would be quite the challenge to overcome such an obstacle since the shield is impervious to both conventional and advanced weaponry. A larger version of this shield would be created for the GM-04 City Sentry which stands guard within the center of Skynet City.
