It first saw use with Project Gemini; an enhanced STIG enforcement vehicle. This was a response to the ever growing issue of Ki energy causing severe damage to non-daitanium armored units. The original energy barrier was only good enough to repel conventional bullets. Eventually as research and development progressed, more powerful versions of the AT field could block more intense kind of attacks. There were 10 grades of AT field before development was discontinued in favor of Ki energy research.
