Gates discovered this ore from all the time his base was underground. His advanced machines and technology could go where most humans couldnt and he discovered this natural occuring metal deep within the earth where temperatures are so hot the metal is found naturally in a liquid state. When its brought up to cooler temperatures it often hardens with a smooth appearance. The metal is also naturally dark colored and lacks a reflective sheen like most metal armors.
