Knight Industries is a company created by a millionaire simply known as Mr. Knight. Not much is known about him as he keeps in the shadows however, hes a bit of a philanthropist; seeking to make the world a better place through helping others. He is best friends with Devon Miles and made him the face of the company as CEO. Knight Industries had 2 main subdivisions under their name. One was the Knight Research and Development which was solely responsible for the creation of KARR and KITT; radically advanced cars with sentient AI. The other subdivision was the Foundation for Law and Government which is also headed by Devon. Around the 80s was when Knight Industries thrived the most, but by the late 1990s a new government technological division named DARPA was making technological advances by leaps and bounds. Suddenly Knight Industries wasnt so cutting edge anymore. DARPA was so impressive the government fully backed their projects and cut funding to an aging Knight Industries. Through the millennium the company was struggling financially as their technology couldn't keep up with the times save for their awesome sentient AI but they were unwilling to sell KITT to anyone in fear that he could be used wrongfully or end up in the wrong hands. Then Mr. Knight passed away and it seemed that with him so did the dream of making a difference. Slowly, Knight Industries faded into history. FLAG was still around but without their parent company backing them it wouldnt be for long. Fortunately, STRIKE stepped in and saved FLAG before they went under completely. Knight Industries was gone but it would live on through FLAG.
