The metal is a type of tritanium combining at an atomic level the properties of titanium alloy, gustanium and diamonds obtained deep within the earth; deeper than conventional equipment can reach. Due to their ability to farm so much diamond, Skynet can create nearly an endless supply of daitanium. When Gates fled Skynet with his AI's he took some daitanium research with him and using it he was able to create his own version dubbed adamantium. Despite the name being different, this is the same exact ore. It would become known as the "Revengers Daitanium". However, the name adamantium stuck so well that even some Skynet scientists would start calling the ore adamantium because it sounds cooler. Skynet would stick to one formula of daitanium and would only make stronger renditions for special units while Gates would further refine his adamantium ore since he had a limited supply and had to make the most of it. Eventually Skynet would develop an even tougher armor, one that could even withstand powerful Ki impacts...
