Badass co-pilot and STRIKE's other military asset. He is the Commander's right hand man. Back in the day they were still working out the kinks in the Super Apache's AI so a co-pilot was still required. He's awesome at shooting shit in the air as well as on the ground. He would often be deployed on the ground to raise havoc, evacuate hostages, infiltrate fortresses, gather intelligence, and plant bombs while the Commander wrecked hard targets from the skies. He also tended to be a hot-head and would disobey orders and go off on rouge missions to get back at the enemy to the irk of General Earle. He became notorious for this during the Soviet Strike campaign and would often get in trouble and have to be rescued.

During the events of the Nuclear Strike campaign, his close friend and guerrilla expert Amad was murdered by a tyrannical warlord named Colonel LeMonde while on a mission to gather intelligence on his fortress within the region of Indocine. Enraged, Nick went rouge to go after LeMonde personally for revenge. However he was ambushed by LeMonde's forces and was almost killed in action and barely survived with terrible injuries. He was rescued by the Commander and was put in intensive care till his physical injuries recovered. Some cybernetic surgery was required for him to regain 100% functionality of his body. If it were not for this he would have surely died. The technology of his cybernetics was not on the level of Skynet or the Revengers, but it was advanced for the US military. However, he was not allowed to participate in the remainder of the Nuclear Strike campaign after that incident. His abilities in the air were replaced by the Super Apache's AI so a co-pilot for the Commander was no longer needed and most ground tasks were delegated to Naja and her resistance forces as well as Cash, a soldier of fortune who assisted Naja and eventually fell in love with her.

Nick would eventually regain the trust of General Earle (No easy feat mind you!) and due to his cybernetics displayed superior fighting prowess compared to the other soldiers. He would be allowed to go on missions once more but would no longer sit shotgun with the Commander. Instead, STRIKE would give him his own vehicle to pilot; the vertical tank style mech called the Strike Warrior. Eventually after several campaigns, Nick went on leave for a while and enjoyed the simpler life in Hawaii. STRIKE would soon learn about the threat of Skynet through FLAG and when gathering their forces, Nick Arnold was called upon to team up directly with the Commander once more and help him in battle. However, he was nowhere to be found. He would eventually be found in the most unlikely of places...
